What is Thai Massage?
Thai bodywork is a deeply holistic modality rooted in traditional Thai medicine. A typical session may include herbal balms, hot compresses, cupping, scraping (gua sha), myofascial release, deep tissue techniques, passive stretching, and rhythmic compression. While often associated with “assisted yoga,” Thai massage goes far beyond stretching. It supports the release of tension in muscles, tendons, ligaments, and energetic pathways—tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Thai massage may also integrate oils and long, flowing strokes similar to Swedish massage. It is a personalized healing art grounded in the principle that the mental, emotional, energetic, and physical bodies are intimately connected.
